Florian Staudt

"What motivates me in my sport is to always get better and surpass my own time. To push my own limits."

Florian has two great passions: sports and food. As a Hyrox athlete and triathlete, he loves the variety that his sports offer him. At the same time, his heart beats for good food - and as much of it as possible, and as sweet as possible! But if anyone can afford it, it's Florian.

In the interview, he gives us further insights into his sports routine and private life.

Fun Facts

We're just among ourselves here: Tell us a fun fact about yourself that no one knows yet! - I've never been truly full!
Although I am very disciplined in training, maintaining discipline with eating is much harder for me - the lack of a feeling of fullness doesn't make it any easier!

Which dish can't you resist? And why? - Sweet apple fritters with vanilla sauce, because I generally can't resist desserts!

What is your favorite song? - Legends never die by Kontra K - the ultimate motivation booster!

Florian in the interview

1. What sport do you play and how did you get into it?

I came to triathlon and running through strength training. Currently, I combine strength and endurance with Hyrox.

2. What makes your sport special?

Finding the right balance between strength and endurance. Mastering the 8 different exercises as quickly as possible while also being able to run the 8 x 1km as fast as possible in between.

3. What criteria do you use to decide which competitions you participate in?

In general, I have to be excited about the competition, then it has to fit in time, and the location is also crucial.

4. How do you deal with the "hole" after a big competition?

Two weeks of training as you please, then look for new goals and competitions and prepare specifically for them.

5. What does an ideal day look like for you?

My day is perfect when I can fit in two training sessions and still spend time with my son and my wife. And what of course cannot be missing for the perfect day is delicious food!

Everything about Recovery

1. How important is the topic of "regeneration" to you?

Very important. With the high number and intensity of the training sessions, it is very important for me to start each session as rested as possible.

2. What does perfect recovery look like for you?

Directly after the workout, a shake, off to the shower, and then straight into the Reboots :)

3. When do you like to use your Reboots the most?

For a warm-up shortly before the session to start the session already "warm" and ready.

After the session to directly stimulate regeneration. But also independently of training, in the evening in front of the TV on the couch.

3. What are your secret tips for a perfect reboot routine?

My insider tip: Right after the session, spend 30 minutes in the Reboots One Pants at the highest pressure level and the Impulse program.

The cool thing is that you can use the time for alternative activities in the meantime. For me, these mostly consist of watching TV, reading, and listening to music.

4. What else would you like to share with the Reboots community?

Short and sweet: Into the Reboots and never heavy legs again ;)
