“Try combining Reboots with meditation, then you have both physical and mental regeneration at the same time”

Allez! Vamos! Forward! Let’s go! Andiamo! - as a language talent, Lena Erdil usually doesn't care in which language she is communicated with. For her, only one thing matters: Always look ahead and deliberately prepare the next trick.

In the interview, Lena provides some exciting insights into her athletic career and lets you be part of her private everyday life. What must never be missing? The morning trip to the coffee machine and the Reboots in her luggage.

What activity should you be left out of? Why? - Shopping, I get bored very quickly. I would like to have my own stylist who just does it for me. Fashion doesn't interest me at all...

Everything about Recovery

1. What does perfect regeneration look like for you?

Healthy food, Reboots, stretching, good sleep.

2. When do you like to use your Reboots the most?

Mostly in the evenings after a long day or on days when I have double training, but also between training sessions.

3. What is your insider tip for using the Reboots?

I prefer Program D and have gotten used to strength 12. Most of the time, I am in the Boots for about 45 minutes in the evening before sleeping. However, I have also used the Boots for several thigh bruises and noticed a positive effect on regeneration and healing. For this, I used Program A at a very low pressure strength. In combination with ice and rest, I can highly recommend this for mild muscle bruises.

4. What are you doing while you are in the Reboots?

At the beginning, I often took a book with me, but most of the time I was too tired to read and just wanted to do nothing. When you do nothing but feel the Boots, I find that the session is like a meditation. If I have also lit a few candles beforehand and played some calm music, I always feel the Reboots session is somehow like a reward for my body.

Lena in the Interview

1. How did you get into windsurfing and what makes it so special?

The connection with nature is simply unique - I think that's what motivated me.

2. As a former world champion, you are used to success. But how do you deal with the "void" after a major competition?

I usually try to do an evaluation as quickly as possible, make new goals/plans, and only then do I switch to relaxation mode.

3. What does an ideal day look like for you?

Surfing, having a long brunch with friends, working on a creative project, making a campfire, and watching the starry sky. That would be an ideal vacation day for me..

4. With which person would you like to swap a day? Why?

With one of the pro surfers who can surf really big waves to know what that feels like.

5. Who is your greatest role model and why?

I don't have a specific person. I am only inspired by individual qualities of others. I think we can each only become the best version of ourselves.
