Carmen Campos Costa

For me, regeneration is just as important as handball training. To perform at 100%, rest, care, good nutrition, and recovery are crucial. Thanks to Reboots, I have better and faster recovery in my daily routine, and I feel my body better and faster ready for the next training session.

No nap? No Carmen! But besides her daily "siesta," Carmen loves handball. In addition to fun, the sport has taught her important values for her life: fellowship, friendship, nobility, sacrifice, hard work.

Handball has made her the young woman she is today, and she has internalized it because she wants to be a good role model for all the children who look up to her and take her as an example.

In the interview, Carmen reveals not only exciting details about her sports career but also gives us insights into her private life.

Carmen in the Interview

1. WHAT SPORT DO YOU DO AND HOW DID YOU GET INTO IT?

My sport is handball. When I was young, I wanted to play soccer like my brother. The problem was that there was no women's team in my neighborhood, so I discovered handball through a school friend, and since then, almost 20 years ago, I have been playing handball.

2. What has been your greatest (sporting) achievement so far?

When I was 19 years old, my team was promoted to the top league of Spanish handball, which meant a lot to me. Additionally, I won two gold medals with the national team at the Mediterranean Games in 2018 and 2022 (the last one as team captain).

3. What is your favorite hobby besides your sport?

I love spending time with my family and friends. They also give me the motivation to always give my best and to get the most out of myself, while also providing the strength and energy to overcome the slump after a big competition. Otherwise, I enjoy reading, going to the cinema, or traveling.

4. What kind of job would you probably be doing now if sports hadn't worked out?

I would like to organize events. That's what I'm currently studying for!

5. WHAT DOES AN OPTIMAL DAY LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?

Get up early, have breakfast, go to training, eat, take a short nap, train again, and use the remaining time to rest, recover, and learn.

Recovery

1. What does perfect regeneration look like for you?

For me, perfect regeneration consists of good recovery, a leg massage (which I can perform thanks to my Reboots), and a cryotherapy session.

2. When do you like to use your Reboots the most?

I always use my Reboots after a competition and after hard training sessions (especially when we run a lot) and also when I have pain in my legs.

3. What is your secret tip for using the Reboots?

For me, consistency is the key to success. Find your routine and the results will show! For this reason, I almost always use the same program. I have the Reboots Go and use the B program for 30 minutes at pressure level 12. Personally, this program combination helps me the most to recover, feel lightness in my legs, and recover faster.

4. What do you occupy yourself with while you are in the Reboots?

Normally, I always have something running on TV, like a series or a movie. But I also use my Reboots while I'm studying or reading a book.
