Interview with Léonie

1. what sport do you do and how did you get into it?

I do athletics with a focus on 100 m, 200 m and the 4x100 meter relay. I started at the age of 8 because my sister was active in this sport, I emulated her and wanted to do what she did.

2. What makes your sport special?

What makes my sport special is that basically everyone knows how to do it, but running at our pace requires so much technique, explosiveness and training. The smallest detail can change the result and it often comes down to a thousandth of a second.

3. What has been your greatest sporting success to date?

I took part in the 2023 World Championships over 200 m and came 3rd in the European U23 Championships over 4x100 m. I was also Swiss outdoor 200 m champion in 2023 and Swiss indoor 200 m champion in 20244.

4. How do you deal with the "hole" after a big competition?

After a big competition, I take a short break from training. I take the opportunity to go on vacation with my boyfriend and enjoy the activities that I can't do during the season.

5. What is your hobby outside of sport?

I love going on vacation to discover new landscapes and cultures. I enjoy spending time with my family and looking after animals. In addition to my sport, I'm studying to be a physiotherapist, which is why looking after people is also one of my hobbies.

6. What motivates you to do your sport every day?

Doing sport makes me feel good and clears my head. This sport in particular gets the adrenaline pumping before every run and triggers incredible emotions.

Fun Facts

Everything about recovery

1. What does the perfect regeneration look like for you?

A good night's sleep, a healthy diet, massages, cryotherapy or saunas and, of course, Reboots.

2. When do you prefer to use your Reboots?

Three days a week we focus on active regeneration with a focus on cycling, core muscles and mobility. I dedicate these days to regeneration and use my Reboots for this. I also use Reboots during competitions to prepare and recover. They are also really practical to take with you.

3. How important is the topic of "regeneration" for you?

Recovery is very important. We have very intense sessions where you have to be at 100% to improve and correct the small details. So it's important to recover both physically and mentally.

4. What are your 3 best tips and tricks for preparing for training and recovering afterward?

A good night's sleep, a Reboots session and good nutrition before, during and after training.

5. What do you do while you're in Reboots?

I watch TV, scroll around on my phone or play with my cat.

6. What does the perfect day look like for you?

An ideal day should include at least one fun wing session on the water and a special time to study. In between, I would eat a huge sushi tray.
