Paul in the interview

1. What sport do you do and how did you get into it?

I have been playing beach volleyball since 2022. Since I was 16, I played volleyball and can look back on five successful years in professional volleyball, during which I played in the 1st Bundesliga and also in the Champions League, among others. In 2022, the opportunity arose to switch to the sand to make my Olympic dream come true. I have known for a long time that I can realize more potential in beach volleyball and I am glad to take this path.

2. What makes your sport special?

Always action, spectacular rallies, and powerful athletes.

3. What motivates you to practice your sport?

It's trivial, but the fun. I love what I do and I almost never have problems with motivation.

4. How do you deal with the "hole" after a big competition?

Watch videos and analyze what could have gone better, and then give your mind some time to think about something else. Taking a break from sports is good for a few days.

5. What criteria do you use to decide which competitions you participate in?

According to my own performance curve. I always ask myself, "What fits best into my plan to improve?".

6. Who is your greatest role model and why?

Kobe Bryant. The mental strength to withstand all odds and not let anything disturb your peace.

Everything about Recovery

1. What does perfect recovery look like for you?

Extensive stretching and rolling, then ice bath, then Reboots and then sufficient sleep.

2. When do you like to use your Reboots the most?

On Sunday, to start the new week with 100%.

3. How important is the topic of "regeneration" to you?

It is all-encompassing and indispensable in my daily life. Regeneration is multifaceted, the right nutrition, the right stretching before and after training, as well as recovery in the Reboots.

4. What is your insider tip for using the Reboots?

Ideally after intense sessions in the evening before sleeping. 30 minutes on program B and pressure level 9 is sufficient.

5. What do you occupy yourself with while you are in the Reboots?

A beautiful triad of reading, Netflix, or gaming.
