Proven improvement in regeneration
Our goal at Reboots is to offer innovative and effective solutions in the field of compression massage, enabling athletes to achieve their sports goals through improved recovery. To have the effectiveness of our compression massage devices scientifically evaluated objectively by an external company, we have initiated a collaboration with Innowearable. Innowearable was able to demonstrate a significant effect of Reboots on the recovery of the neuromuscular system (NMS) with their innovative Inno-X™ sensors.

About Innowearable
Innowearable is a leading technology company from Sweden, specializing in the development of innovative, wearable devices in sports and sports medicine that monitor and enhance athletic performance. Their flagship product, the Inno-X™ sensor, integrates EMG and IMU technologies to provide detailed insights into neuromuscular activity and fatigue, helping athletes and researchers alike to understand and improve recovery processes.
The study structure
The study participants attended two three-day training camps on two different weekends in September in Sweden. The first group served as the intervention group, the second as the control group.
The athletes completed 3 cycling sessions of varying intensity each to test the effect of the Reboots after different intensities.
Each day of the training camp included a training session.
The training sessions:
Grin and Bear It: High-Intensity Intervals
Long distance: Sustained efforts at varying intensities.
The Wringer: Intervals with progressively decreasing rest periods.
The aim of the study was to test the effect of the Reboots on neuromuscular regeneration.
To measure the regeneration and fatigue of the leg muscles, two different exercises were used to test the muscle response to electrical impulses from the brain.
- Squat Jump
- Wall Squat
The measurements were conducted with the Inno-X™, a sensor that uses electromyography (EMG) to measure how quickly the muscle responds to stimulation from the brain. Additionally, the inertial measurement unit (IMU) in the Inno-X™ was used to measure when a movement ultimately occurs.
The measurements were also repeated at 4 different times per training.
- Before the trainings
- 15 minutes after the training
- 95 minutes after the training
- 195 minutes after the training
An ANOVA (Analysis of variance) was used for the statistical analysis to compare variances of the means (or average values) of the different groups.
The test product
Reboots Go Lite

The graphic clearly shows that the intervention group had to exert significantly less energy to perform the movements of the squat jumps after the high-intensity bike session.
After intensive 1 to 2.5-hour cycling training sessions, the use of Reboots has been proven to accelerate the recovery of your neuromuscular system (NMS) compared to passive regeneration alone. This means that your NMS, which plays a crucial role in muscle coordination and performance, can return to its pre-training state faster with a 45-minute Reboots session.
Furthermore, this improvement in NMS recovery is not limited to endurance muscles. A 45-minute Reboots session after an intense cycling workout can also significantly enhance the recovery of NMS associated with explosive exercises.

Conclusion: Reboots should find a place in your recovery routine!
What does the result mean for you?
The measurements showed that our compression massage devices effectively accelerate the recovery from neuromuscular fatigue. In particular, there was an increase in performance during explosive exercises after high-intensity training sessions.
This means: The more strenuous your training was and the more explosive the demands on your body are the next day, the greater the positive effect of the Reboots on your recovery!
So if you have a long run, a 180km bike day, or an intense soccer match in your legs, using the Reboots should be indispensable for you if you want to perform again the next day!
