It is well known that competitive sports and injuries often go hand in hand. In order to be able to pursue your passion in the long term, there are ways to support your high physical performance preventively and with professional help.
Bewolfish is a Spanish agency that optimizes performance, builds personal brand and monetizes sports careers of professional athletes and young talents. We offer a multidisciplinary approach by offering services in strength training, sports nutrition, sports psychology, physical therapy and rehabilitation.
Who is bewolfish?
At bewolfish we work with athletes from various sports such as snowboarding, padel, football, basketball, triathlon, trail running, etc. Our core business is professional athletes, although we also train those who do not practice any specific sport but want to improve their health and well-being.
Our athletes have very different goals: whether it's recovering from an injury (muscle/tendon, joint, bone, etc.), recovering from a strenuous session, or improving their skills in the competitive environment (jumping higher, running faster, stronger at change direction, increase shot power, etc.).
In order to achieve these goals, we work holistically between the different performance areas of strength training, physiotherapy, nutrition and psychology. It is very important to maintain a constant rotation between these areas to identify the factors limiting the athlete's physical performance in order to assess whether the process is working. We also developed our own app to track the athlete's progress. This holistic approach allows us to use a greater variety of applications to improve athlete performance.
How Reboots supports our work
Depending on the timing of the microcycle, the athlete's condition, and the type of session being performed, strength strategies to improve tissue properties and passive strategies to regenerate or improve muscle condition can be developed. One of the tools we like to use for recovery is the mechanical vibration system or IPC (Intermittent Pneumatic Compression) through the Reboots Go Recovery Pants, available to all bewolfish athletes.
Physical rest is very important. There is ample evidence for the importance of physical fatigue in limiting athlete performance and increasing the risk of injury. Our goal, in the vast majority of cases, is to provide the athlete with optimal stimuli for a certain period of time and under the minimum influence of fatigue. This makes all the difference and allows him to optimize his performance and recover faster after an injury.
Reboots have anti-inflammatory and muscle recovery effects as well as a reduction in DOMS (muscle soreness). It helps to increase the tolerance of the training during the applications, making the athlete's recovery phase more efficient and helping him to reach his optimal level in every training session and every competition.
The reboots are suitable for the time after the training sessions, but also before, to improve the athlete's perception of the load and thus develop a more efficient session. Likewise, we also use the reboots to supplement physiotherapy sessions.
The bewolfish talents
Bewolfish is the official training center of FC Girona's academy. Every week, Girona's A and B youth complete their strength and rehabilitation training together at our facility. We also train professional triathlete Nick Kastelein, who won the 2022 Vitoria Ironman and competed in the Ironman World Championships in Kona. Among other young talents, we also train in our facilities the padel player Jana Montes, who was named the best young player in Catalonia in 2022 and is part of the Babolat team along with Juan Lebrón. Also, Roger Brugué completed the pre-season with us to prepare for the 2022/23 season when he returned to Levante UD in the 2nd Spanish league.
