Samira Attermeyer: Jumping & flying in a duet
Samira showed early on where her journey could lead and is probably still grateful to her friend for taking her to athletics training. If you believe her own words, she has not yet discovered her "hidden" talent.
But who knows: Maybe it's not such a secret at all and she's been showing it for years as a long jumper by setting new records of her own. So if you look at her career path so far, it's hardly surprising that she wouldn't want to swap places with anyone else for a day and prefers to pursue her own goals. Interview with Samira
1. What sport do you do and how did you get into it?
I do athletics (long jump). I got into athletics through a school friend in the second grade. Over time, I realized that I was best at long jump and stuck with it.
2. What makes your sport special?
The versatility and, especially in the long jump, the interplay of speed and jumping technique. The cohesion within and outside the training group is also special.
3. What has been your greatest sporting success so far?
Participation in the final of the U20 European Championship 2023 in Jerusalem
4. How do you deal with a “hole” after a big competition?
I look ahead and concentrate on what is still to come. Or I distract myself with other things that bring me joy.
5. What is your hobby outside of sports?
I enjoy meeting friends, cooking and reading.

What song do you like to listen to during recovery?
During recovery I like to listen to Afro-pop music. For example the song: “Shu Peru” by Kizz Daniel. It puts me in a good mood and gives me energy:)
Your favorite place for regeneration with reboots is... My bed. It is the most comfortable
Who is your biggest role model?
There are many people, especially in sports, who inspire and motivate me. I couldn't even list them all.
Off to a deserted island - which 3 things do you take with you and why? Music, sneakers, reboots:)

1. What does the perfect regeneration look like for you
For me, the perfect regeneration consists of restful sleep, reboots and general relaxation:)
2. When do you prefer to use your reboots?
I prefer to use my reboots in the evening in bed after a strenuous training session.
3. How important is the topic of “regeneration” for you?
The topic of regeneration plays a big role for me because I have a lot of very intensive training sessions and it is important to recover quickly from them.

5. What do you do while you're in the reboots?
While I'm in the reboots, I like to spend time on social media. Sometimes I study for university or read:)
6. What does the perfect day look like for you?
I get up relaxed in the morning, make myself a nice breakfast and spend time with my family. In the afternoon I do a jumping session (that's what I like to do most in training) and in the evening I meet up with friends :)
