Ole Braunschweig in an interview

1. How did you get into swimming?

I had way too much energy as a kid and swimming helped me find balance.

2. What makes swimming special for you?

What fascinates me about swimming is the feeling of weightlessness and freedom. At the same time, no day is like the other and I push my limits every day.

3. What motivates you to get up every day?

First of all, I enjoy going to my limits and measuring myself against others. That's why it tempts me every day to test my performance and see how far I can push myself. But at the moment I also have the goal of participating in the Olympic Games in Paris, which motivates me to get a little better every day.

Everything about Recovery

1. How important is the topic of "regeneration" for you?

At the level of performance I am at, insufficient recovery is unthinkable. Without proper rest, I couldn't push myself to the limit and beyond every day. That's why I pay a lot of attention to it. An optimal regeneration routine for me consists of a good meal, sauna, a cold pool and reboots.

2. Speaking of reboots. How did you find out about reboots back then?

I had a pretty important competition back then and a chance to try out reboots. After that I swam really well, which convinced me straight away.

3. What would be your secret tips for a perfect reboots routine?

I find the reboots to be particularly effective after high lactic sessions such as strength training and competitions.
I then make myself comfortable and usually read a good book or watch my favorite series. I then use the reboots for 3 minutes with the "Intense Flow" program at a pressure of 13.
