Chocolate and full professional. Does that fit together? According to Léonie Pointet, definitely. Nevertheless, as an athlete, she naturally knows how important the topic of regeneration is.

Fun Facts

Which dish can you not resist? And why? A chocolate fondant, because I love chocolate desserts and everything sweet. I could eat chocolate all day.

What three things would you take to a deserted island?  My bikini, sunscreen, and sunglasses.

What is your favorite song and why? I don't have just one favorite song, but I generally like listening to "Luciano." I listen to his music before a competition because it helps me get into a competitive mood where I feel strong.

When I'm not training, you can find me… on the couch watching TV.

What "secret" is there still about you? Every Tuesday I eat crêpes with lots of whipped cream - prepared by my friend's grandpa.

Leonie in the Interview

1. What sport do you play and how did you get into it?

I do athletics with a focus on the 100m, 200m, and the 4x100 meter relay. I started at the age of 8 because my sister was active in this sport, I emulated her and wanted to do what she did.

2. What makes your sport special?

The special thing about my sport is that basically everyone knows how to do it, but running at our pace requires so much technique, explosiveness, and training. The smallest detail can change the result, and it often comes down to a thousandth of a second.

3. What has been your greatest sporting achievement so far?

I participated in the 2023 World Championship in the 200 m and placed 3rd in the U23 European Championship in the 4x100 m. Additionally, I became the Swiss outdoor champion in the 200 m in 2023 and the Swiss indoor champion in the 200 m in 2024.

4. How do you deal with the "hole" after a big competition?

After a big competition, I take a short training break. I take the opportunity to go on vacation with my friend and enjoy activities that I can't do during the season.

5. What is your hobby outside of sports?

I love going on vacation to discover new landscapes and cultures. I enjoy spending time with my family and taking care of animals. Besides my sport, I am studying to become a physiotherapist, which is why caring for people is also one of my hobbies.

6. What motivates you every day to pursue your sport?

Exercising gives me a good feeling and clears my mind. This particular sport gets the adrenaline pumping before every run and triggers incredible emotions.

Everything about Recovery

1. What does perfect regeneration look like for you?

A good night's sleep, a healthy diet, massages, cryotherapy or saunas, and of course Reboots.

2. When do you like to use your Reboots the most?

On three days a week, we focus on cycling, core muscles, and mobility, emphasizing active recovery. I dedicate these days to recovery and use my Reboots for this purpose. I also use Reboots during competitions to prepare and recover. Additionally, they are really convenient to take along.

3. How important is the topic of "regeneration" to you?

Recovery is very important. We have very intensive sessions where you have to be at 100% to improve and correct the small details. Therefore, it is important to recover both physically and mentally.

4. What are your 3 best tips and tricks to prepare for training and recover afterwards?

A good night's sleep, a Reboots session, as well as good nutrition before, during, and after training.

5. What do you occupy yourself with while you are in the Reboots?

I watch TV, scroll on my phone, or play with my cat

6. What does the perfect day look like for you?

An optimal day should include at least one fun wing session on the water and a special time for learning. In between, I would eat a huge sushi platter.
