It is well known that competitive sports and injuries often go hand in hand. However, to be able to pursue one's passion in the long term, there are ways to support high physical performance preventively and with professional help.
Bewolfish is a Spanish agency that optimizes performance, builds personal brands, and monetizes the sports careers of professional athletes and young talents. We offer a multidisciplinary approach by providing services in strength training, sports nutrition, sports psychology, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation.
Who is bewolfish?
At bewolfish, we work with athletes from various sports such as snowboarding, padel, soccer, basketball, triathlon, trail running, etc. Our core business is professional athletes, but we also train those who do not practice a specific sport but want to improve their health and well-being.
Our athletes pursue very different goals: whether it's recovering from an injury (muscle/tendon, joint, bone injury, etc.), recovering after a strenuous session, or improving their skills in a competitive environment (jumping higher, running faster, becoming stronger in changes of direction, increasing shooting power, etc.).
To achieve these goals, we work holistically across the various performance areas of strength training, physiotherapy, nutrition, and psychology. It is very important to maintain a constant interchange between these areas to identify the factors that limit the athlete's physical performance, in order to assess whether the procedure is working. We have also developed our own app to track the athlete's progress. This holistic approach allows us to employ a greater variety of applications to improve the athlete's performance.
How Reboots supports our work
Depending on the timing of the microcycle, the athlete's condition, and the type of session to be performed, strength strategies can be developed to improve tissue properties and passive strategies for regeneration or improvement of muscle condition. One of the tools we like to use for recovery is the mechanical vibration system or IPC (Intermittent Pneumatic Compression) through the Reboots Go Recovery Pants, which are available to all bewolfish athletes.
Physical recovery is very important. There is much evidence for the significance of physical fatigue, which limits the athlete's performance and increases the risk of injury. Our goal in most cases is to provide the athlete with optimal stimuli over a certain period and with minimal impact from fatigue. This makes the difference and allows them to optimize their performance and recover more quickly after an injury.
Reboots have an anti-inflammatory and muscle-recovering effect as well as a reduction of DOMS (muscle soreness). It helps to increase the tolerance of training during applications, make the athlete's recovery phase more efficient, and help them reach their optimal level in every training session and competition.
The Reboots are suitable for the time after training sessions, but also before, to improve the athlete's perception of exertion and thus develop a more efficient session. We also use the Reboots to complement physiotherapy sessions.
The bewolfish talents
Bewolfish is the official training center of the FC Girona Academy. Every week, Girona's A and B youth teams complete their joint strength and rehabilitation training at our facility. We also train professional triathlete Nick Kastelein, who won the Vitoria Ironman in 2022 and participated in the Ironman World Championship in Kona. Among other young talents, we also train padel player Jana Montes in our facilities, who was awarded the best young player in Catalonia in 2022 and is part of the Babolat team along with Juan Lebrón. Additionally, Roger Brugué completed the preseason with us to prepare for the 2022/23 season when he returned to Levante UD in the 2nd Spanish league.
