Pure adrenaline through the ice channel: Deborah Levi
Not a failure as an athlete, but a bobsleigh push athlete. This is how Deborah Levi's career can and should be described. The woman knows no fear when she is hurtling down the ice track at speeds of over 130 km/h. But what does such a risk-taker actually do when she's not on the track?
As an absolute music junkie, she enjoys listening to music for long periods of time, going to a café with friends or working hard at university to become an elementary school teacher in the future. She just has to make sure that she doesn't fall prey to her biggest addiction while she's learning. What is that? Find out for yourself.
"Very important! Regeneration is what enables me to perform the intensive training sessions at the highest possible level."

Deborah in an interview
1. what sport do you do and how did you get into it?
I'm a bobsleigh athlete (pusher) and came to bobsleigh via athletics.
2. What makes your sport special?
Running through the ice channel at an average speed of 130 km/h is pure adrenaline!
3. What motivates you to do your sport?
I love pushing my limits every day and pushing them further. But it's also incredibly fun to work together as a team to achieve our goals. The special moments we experience in competition and sport stay with me forever and drive me on.
4. What has been your greatest success to date?
Olympic gold with my pilot in Beijing 2022.
5. What criteria do you use to decide which competitions you take part in?
We have a World Cup season of eight World Cups, followed by a season highlight at the end, usually a World Championship. The aim is to qualify for the World Championships. I share the World Cups before that with the second pusher in our team.
6. What does an ideal day look like for you?
Sleep in, have a hearty breakfast with good coffee and spend the rest of the day outside in the sun with friends or family.
Faits amusants
Which dish can't you resist? And why? Fufu with fish and peanut sauce, there's nothing better!
What kind of job would you probably be doing now if sport hadn't worked out? I'm currently studying to be a primary school teacher and also plan to work in schools after my active time as an athlete.
What's your favorite song and why? Very difficult, I love music more than anything! But Crazy in Love by Beyonce has been with me since I was 6 years old.
What's the most addictive thing for you and why? Chocolate!!! (Always has been)
We're just between us here: tell us a fun fact about yourself that nobody knows yet! Only very few people know: I've never seen Harry Potter
.Everything about recovery
1. what does perfect regeneration look like for you?
quite simply: sleep! But I also like to regenerate a little more actively, for example with a short walk or Reboots.
2. When do you prefer to use your Reboots?
After an intensive running session to get the lactate out of your legs and loosen up your muscles.
3. How important is the topic of "regeneration" to you?
Very important! Regeneration is what allows me to perform the intensive training sessions at the highest possible level.
4. What is your insider tip for using the Reboots?
I like to spend a little longer in the Reboots, but with less pressure.
5. What do you keep yourself occupied with while you're in the Reboots?
Mails or I'm on my cell phone, otherwise the occasional book :)
6. What else would you like to pass on to the Reboots community?
Don't neglect regeneration! Training is much more effective if we give the body the rest and recovery it needs.
