HOW TO: Thermal sleeves

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR USE

  1. We recommend keeping the black zip bag in which your Thermo Sleeve is delivered. This way, you have a practical storage bag in which you can easily transport and cool your sleeve.
  2. Try not to let your Thermo Sleeves get wet.
  3. Everyone has a different perception. Even though we provide usage recommendations here, please listen to your own sense of warmth and cold and heat/cool the sleeve so that it is comfortable for you.
  4. If you are unsure how the Thermo Sleeve should best be applied in your case, it is always best to consult with your doctor.

CLEANING

To clean your Thermo Sleeves, simply use a damp cloth, gently clean the surface, and then let the sleeves air dry.

Attention: Your sleeves must NOT go in the washing machine or dryer!

RECOMMENDED APPLICATION AREAS

Caution: You should avoid using it on open wounds, as this increases the risk of infection.

Heat and cold have opposite effects on tissue

Heat

  • The blood vessels dilate
  • Metabolic processes such as nutrient supply and defense mechanisms occur more quickly
  • The muscles relax

Cold

  • The blood vessels constrict
  • Metabolic processes slow down

Cold application

Effects

  • Weaker blood circulation in the cooled area
  • Increase in well-being
  • Reduction of the sensation of pain

Areas of Application

Products for cold treatment are typically used for:

✅ Muscle and joint injuries

✅ Ligament sprains

✅ Pain

✅ Bruises

✅ Recovery after training

How To: Cooling

Refrigerator

  • The Thermo Sleeve should not be too cold for cold application. An optimal temperature is 2-8 degrees.
  • Place your sleeve in a resealable bag (e.g., in the provided bag) or other sealable container in the refrigerator.
  • Cool the sleeve for at least two hours.
  • Until use, you can simply store the Thermo Sleeve in the refrigerator.

Tip: If you want to cool down right after your workout while on the go, simply take your Thermo Sleeve in a small cooler bag.

Freezer

Need to be quick? Then you can also cool your Thermo Sleeves in the freezer.

  1. Place your sleeve in a resealable bag (e.g., in the provided bag) or other sealable container in the freezer.
  2. Cool the sleeve for a maximum of 20 minutes.

Attention: Make sure that the sleeve in the freezer does not get too cold. The cooling should still feel pleasant.

Guide to Various Application Scenarios

1. Pre-Cooling

Goal: Counteract overheating → During endurance activities of at least 20 minutes and high ambient temperatures, overheating can be delayed.

  • Place the Thermo Sleeve in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • Cool the affected area for about 10-15 minutes.
  • Go to your training as usual.

2. Use in combination with Reboots for swelling

Goal: Reduce swelling, decrease pain sensation → The combination of cooling and compression reduces swelling and pain very effectively in acute injuries. In case of an injury, to counteract swelling, you can use the cooling function of the Thermo Sleeves in combination with the Reboots.

  • Place the Thermo Sleeve in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • Pull the Thermo Sleeve over the affected area.
  • Step into the Reboots with the Thermo Sleeve.
  • Set a medium to high pressure level. However, when adjusting the pressure, please pay special attention to your own feeling!
  • Do not expose the chamber to the affected body part!
  • It's best to choose one of the following programs:
    - Flow
    - Intense
    - Intense Flow
    - Impulses

Heat application

Products for heat application are primarily used for muscle tension and cramps, muscle soreness, and pain in the muscles and joints.

Effects

  • Improvement of blood circulation and local metabolism
  • Promotion of mobility through altered viscoelastic properties of the warmed tissue
  • Mental relaxation
  • Muscle tone reduction and relaxation

Application Areas

Products for heat treatment are usually used against:

✅ Muscle tension and cramps

✅ Sore muscles

✅ Pain in the muscles and joints

How to: Heating

Microwave

  1. Take the Thermo Sleeve out of the packaging for warming.
  2. Place the sleeve in the microwave for about 20 seconds → Important: Depending on the microwave you use, the heating may take longer or shorter.
  3. It's best to proceed in 10-second increments.
  4. Check if the sleeve has the right temperature for you. It should feel comfortably warm, not hot.
  5. Repeat this step until the Thermo Sleeve has the right temperature for you.
  6. Important:
    - Do not heat your Thermo Sleeves for more than 1 minute at a time in the microwave and not more than 2 minutes in total!
    - If your Thermo Sleeves are frozen, let them thaw at room temperature before heating them.

Oven

  1. Take the Thermo Sleeve out of the packaging for warming.
  2. Preheat the oven to 100 degrees convection.
  3. Place the sleeve in the oven at 100 degrees for about 2 minutes.
  4. Then check if the sleeve has the right temperature for you. It should feel comfortably warm, not hot.
  5. If the sleeve is still too cool, simply place it in the oven for another 1 minute.
  6. Repeat this step until the Thermo Sleeve has the right temperature for you.

Guide to Various Application Scenarios

1. Tension & Muscle Soreness

Goal: Muscle relaxation and relaxation

  • Heat the Thermo Sleeve in the microwave or oven as described above.
  • Pull the Thermo Sleeve over the affected area.
  • Warm the corresponding body region for about 15-25 minutes.
  • Repeat the warming as often as desired.

2. Use in combination with Reboots

Goal: Stimulate circulation, muscle relaxation

  • Heat the Thermo Sleeve in the microwave or oven as described above.
  • Pull the Thermo Sleeve over the affected area.
  • Step into the Reboots with the Thermo Sleeve.
  • Set a low to moderate pressure level. However, please pay special attention to your own feeling when adjusting the pressure!
  • Do not expose the chamber to the affected body part!
  • It's best to choose one of the following programs:
    - Double
    - Intense
    - Intense Flow
    - Intense Pulse
  • We recommend an application of approximately 30 minutes or until the warming effect of the Thermo Sleeves diminishes.
